he following phone conversation between my 93-year-old mother and me sparked the inspiration for this new song and video, “Guardian Dear”:

Me: “Hey mom, what should I write my next song about?”
Mom: “How about Guardian Angels?”
Me: “Hmmm....ok, what about guardian angels? What do you know about them?”
Mom: “Well. I use to assign one to each of you (8 of us in total) when you were born.”
Me: “OK. Now, how exactly does that work?” “What would you say to these angels?”
Mom: “Oh nothing much…just, ‘I can’t do this on my own. I am going to need you to help me raise this child’”
(‘Always good to admit when you need a little help!)

Whether or not you believe in guardian angels, I hope that you will enjoy this song and feel a little peace from it.
